This year, Assemblage Entertainment had the unique privilege of co-hosting the Namaste MIFA pitch event alongside AniMela India and the amazing team at Zebu ANimation. What made this event so meaningful was that it marked the first time Indian animation projects were featured on such a prestigious global platform—a huge milestone for the animation industry in India!
The four work-in-progress projects we showcased reflected the richness and diversity of Indian culture. From sports to food, gender to tradition, these stories carried the essence of India while resonating with audiences far beyond our borders. It was a beautiful blend of cultural pride and universal storytelling, and we were incredibly proud to share these projects with the world.
For us at Assemblage, this event wasn’t just about showcasing the work—it was about celebrating the incredible people behind these projects. The creativity, dedication, and talent that went into each one was truly inspiring. Being at Annecy alongside some of the most brilliant minds in the global animation industry was a reminder of why we’re passionate about storytelling: to inspire, to connect, and to bridge cultures.
Arjun Madhavan, CEO of Assemblage Entertainment said:
“The Indian animation industry has demonstrated significant resilience and growth despite facing global challenges. The focus on high-quality, culturally rich content and international collaborations is enhancing India’s global presence and therefore there is an utmost need to create and harness such festivals according to the likes of discerning audiences who are always eager in spending to watch such festivals.”
We’re immensely grateful to AniMela India and Zebu Animation for their collaboration and dedication in making this event such a success. Together, we helped shine a well-deserved spotlight on Indian animation
